Here’s an example of the kind of stuff we’re bringing home everyday. It varies, somedays more somedays less, some days radishes; lettuce; rocket; spinach and chard. We’re also still thinning out carrots and may have to thin out parsnips to help the bigger ones on their way. The pumpkin and squash patch is going great guns (post pic tomorrow), and the corn is looking ike it’s a bout a week off for the first harvest. Searching for recipes for stuff that don’t involve ingredients that are totally unavailable here, so the simpler the better.
welcomethis is a blog about two people making as much of their life as they can by hand on 15th October, 600 forest fires and hurricane Ophelia, ravaged 1 million acres of land, incinerated houses (along with ours) and took many lives, destroying forests and wildlife, infrastructure and livelihoods We are currently looking for new land to build again, in a different way but still by hand......keep checking in and send us messages, your continued support means a lot to both of us
